Ermina was super friendly and helpful, picked us up from the train station and went out of her way to answer our questions even though she didn't speak much English and we spoke no Italian. The patio was large and a great place to enjoy breakfast or dinner. All in all, a comfortable home base for a 5 day stay on the Amalfi coast.
The location is tricky without a car, at the top of a hill without much near it but a small market and dress shop. The bus stop is right across the street and catching it going to Sorrento was easy, although super crowded. When we wanted to go the other direction towards Amalfi the bus was harder to catch and didn't stop a few times due to crowds. The roads right at the hotel and all along the coast are crazy and crowded day or night.

I loved waking up every morning to the amazing sea view from the terrace and having breakfast there. The private parking provided by the hotel was a great convenience and made my stay easier. The hotel had clean rooms and good facilities for guests, including a nice restaurant nearby. Its location on the Amalfi coast made it easy to visit nearby attractions.
Absolutely nothing.

Nice views. Afordable place.
Terrible breakfast, just regular cruasants (exactly the same ones every day) and coffee. Not a relaxing place at all. A lot of noise from 7:30 when the cruasants are seved at the kitchen and everyone starts moving from the rooms to take some. There is no cleaning from the moment you get your room until you leave, what it really bothered us because it was not mentioned at the reservation. If you want to get your room cleaned you have to pay an extra fee of 15 euros per day.

Le Due Sirene was great value for money. We had a good sized studio apartment with cooking facilities (one of 2 such rooms). The apartment took up a corner of the building and had 2 sets of doors onto a private terrace. The view over the sea is excellent. Breakfast is provided this is a basic continental breakfast (croissants, butter, jam, yoghurt, fruit juice, milk, coffee) self service in a separate room. We took breakfast back to the apartment. Unlike normal self catering, the room was completely serviced mid week with fresh sheets, towels etc. Although the proprietors spoke little English they were friendly and very welcoming and helpful. Our knowledge of Italian is poor and they willingly got out a small laptop and together we used the Google translation site to get answers to a few questions! The free wireless internet was great (we brought a laptop with us). Parking is on a gated road about 20m from the ground floor door. We were given keys for the various doors to the property (plus remote control for the gate) so we could come and go as we liked. If we had used the bus - the stop is just outside, so very convenient. We are happy to drive and Pompeii, Herculaneum etc are about an hour away. But the accomodation is much nearer to Sorrento, Positano etc. but parking in these places is impossible so use the bus! Overall a good base to explore the Sorrentine Peninsular.
The following are just observations, not big problems. When we arrived it was not obvious how to get to Le Due Sirene which is on the 3rd floor of the building above some shops. You actually go through the green painted door at ground level next to the dress shop -Luiselle. Walk up a flight of stairs to the 2nd floor. Cross a sun terrace and go up more stairs to reach the level Le Due Sirene is on. The cooking area just has a hob, fridge and sink with a table and 2 chairs. A few pans are provided and cutlery plates etc but we brought with us our own tea towels, large serving spoons, spoon for stirring and our own can opener, which was just as well as they were not provided in the apartment. Could have done with a large bowl for preparing food. No kettle is provided in the room but there was a coffee maker in the breakfast room. We bought a cheap saucepan in a shop to boil water in the room for tea- (how English!). The room is not serviced every day as it would be in a hotel. Although it is no smoking the people in the room next door smoked on their own terrace- the smoke came through to our terrace and room. Yes Le Due Sirene is on the start of the Almalfi coast road and there is some traffic noise, but we did not find it a problem. But we stayed in March and it is probably worse in Summer. More a base for touring than staying around in during the day.

Great value for money! We stayed in a studio apartment with a stunning sea view! The cooking facilities were perfect for our needs. The free Wi-Fi was a bonus and the parking included in the rental made life easy.
The location was a little tricky to find at first, but we eventually found our way. Although the street noise was a bit of a nuisance at times, the views and location were well worth it. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this accommodation to others looking for a budget-friendly option with great amenities and location.
